Mermaid & Nymphs
I went to see the J. W. Waterhouse show at the Royal Academy during my day off last week in London. It was fantastic to see so many beautiful art works, and I felt quite emotional to view The Lady of Shalott, a painting of such iconic status that pulls you into tearful melancolic tragedy. There were also my favourites including Hylas and the Nymphs, and A Memaid, as well as some beautiful pieces I hadn't seen before that were superb. I'm very glad I went, although I have to say, I didn't find such an emotional connection as I do with some exhibitions, but still a worthwhile see.
