These striking images are from two seperate shoots with film photographer Brendan Gara. Using large format cameras as well as digital, Brendan experiments with perception and movement, drawing inspiration from Art Nouveau and Surrealist styles, entwining a natural organic feel with a touch of darkness and eroticism.
I adore the strange, dreamy feel to them, that to me, evokes a feeling of uneasiness as well as intrigue, with the fabric membrane in the first three (taken at Arc Studios in Preston) and the umbilical-like connection in the duo shoot with wonderful art model Madame Bink (at Cheltenham Photo Studios).
