Ed Org Exhibition

These images were taken at the gallery show of an amazingly talented artist Ed Org. He currently has an exhibition of his beautiful illustrations, which feature fairies, mermaids, medieval maidens and idyllic forest scenes, at Obsidian Art, Stoke Manderville, Buckinghamshire. It's on until the 14th March and if you can stop by to take a look I highly recommend it, as the intricate, flowing detail he achieves in his pictures is fascinating. There are 7/8 images of me there, as well as so many other amazing original drawings, watercolours and limited edition signed prints available. I took some photos to show the close up detail, I think his likeness of me is fantastic; it is a real honour to appear in his work.

BIPP Workshops

I've had some enjoyable shoots recently for the lovely people at the BIPP - British Institute of Professional Photography. The first time I worked for them was at last years Annual Conference, at the RAF Museum in Cosford, posing for professional photographers Dave Hunt and Steve Howdle in their seminars.
Recently I've been working at their Head Office in Aylesbury, which is so close to where I live (very handy). They offer brilliant training days for both new and more experienced photographers, fronted by a quality array of expert photographers, giving insight into their style and techniques but also invaluable tips on how to run a business and make a living as a photographer. Here's the link to this years training days... http://www.bipp.com/bipp_training_courses_2010.html
In the snowy January weather I worked with award winning wedding photographer Pete Bristo, we shot around and inside the nearby church, it was quite cold but I got to wrap up in a lovely cloak for some shots and everyone was very friendly :) I love the colours here...

And last week I worked on renowned portrait photographer Tina Hadley's workshop. She had everyone very involved in the shoots, organising each other as well as directing me, which was great as the group got to experiment with lighting but also improve their communication skills with 'real people', learning how to deal with posing groups and family members appropriately.
We did some casual portraits outside as well, and have to admit it's quite surreal sometimes when the group are shooting all at once in natural light, with all these lenses pointed at you and clicking away. I feel like a celebrity for 5 minutes :)

I have no idea how famous people cope with the paparazzi though, trying to give each person a nice shot, and trying not to blink and look half drunk so they put it in the tabloids, must be a nightmare all the time.

But it's quite fun occasionally ;)

Cupid's Arrow

A few weeks ago I had a fab shoot with the lovely Rebecca Tun; model turned photographer based in Cambridge. As we're both interested in photography, we agreed to pose for each other, and these are some of the results from my day in front of her lens. I thought these 'Red Theme' results were very fitting for today with their passionate narrative and rich, amorous colours!

Norwich based make up artist Tracey Woodhouse did a gorgeous job and was lovely to work with. You can see more of Rebecca's photography, art and model work on her funky website www.tun.co.uk/rebecca

www.Binkertson.com

Here are some gorgeous images from a recent shoot with creative duo 'Team Binkertson'; the collaborative force that is model Madame Bink and photographer Adam Robertson!
Hair and Make-up by the beautiful & talented Gemma Sutton, and Styling supplied by specialist corsetry boutique Nikita Sablier.
I think the outdoor shots have a great vampy, haughty elegance to them, and I adore the purple outfit I'm wearing in the outdoor shots, such a fantastic colour, though it makes me think of Cadbury chocolate bars a bit too much...mmm *cravings!*
And it was great fun doing the beauty shots with such awesome make-up!
You can read more about the shoot on their blog here, with more info on their collaborative plans for future shoots with guest stylists, designers and models.

Leicester Group Shoot

I had a cool day working in my hometown of Leicester at funky club Superfly on King Street this Saturday. 4 models, 4 floors, 8 hours, 24 photographers - quite tiring but fun!
The gorgeous Katy Pectin, Lucy Alexandra and Tibby Muldoon were all lovely, and I met up with quite a few photographers I'd worked with before, as well as meeting loads of new faces, some of whom were having their first proper shoot or at least first art nude shoot, which is always exciting!!
I was on the top floor (did feel slightly like some coveted, exotic creature being visited and photographed throughout the day) :) and had a grey backdrop set-up, fab textured luxury wallpaper, funky leather chairs, rustic flooring and some beautiful natural daylight coming in the windows; so lots to play with. It was mainly art nude but I laid out a selection of flowing dresses, lingerie, jewellery and my lovely new masks and made myself at home :)
Nicole Cooling, Jason Yip and Eddie Chung did a great job of organising the day and looked after us all brilliantly, plus they treated us to yummy pizza at lunch, and brought me biscuits (Gingernuts! Very apt) :D
The photographers were in groups of three and rotated every hour, therefore getting a taste of each models 'lair', with access to exposed brickwork, slate staircases, patterned walls, great furniture and lighting variations.
It was quite non stop, but hey you gotta work hard occasionally I suppose :P I enjoyed a hot bath when I got home to soothe my body after lots of bending and arching, and later received an email displaying the first edit...by 'Macman Images'; gorgeous light and very classical...

And here's more by Ray Liu with my new black 'raven' mask which I am totally mad about, yay!...
One with my trusty super floaty skirt by Simon D...

These lovely nudes by Pierus...

And these by Jaycee Photos...
