Blue
Some more beautiful art work; this one by Gloustershire based artist and musician Mike Smith. Inspired by classic painters such as Lord Frederick Leighton and Lawrence Alma-Tadema, he loves creating a mysterious, serene and dream-like atmosphere, using rich colour and detail of fabrics against the female figure, as this new work shows; entitled 'Blue'

Bluebell Princess
I got to frolic naked in the forest last week for a bluebell shoot with Jamie Cooper. It was an early start so quite cool and fresh at first with the morning dew on the ground, but soon the sun was gorgeously warm on my skin, with the wonderful scent of bluebells in the air - such a pleasant start to the day.

Glowing Art
I recently had an email from artist Mike Nicoll who I worked with over a year ago, he had finished this wonderful painting of me.
Mike always starts with photographs taken by himself as part of the creative process, and then for the painting, uses indian ink underpainting with washes of egg tempera on gessoed wood; a technique devised with the 13th and 14th Century. The painting is then digitized, brought into the 21st Century, and merged with elements of the initial photograph. I love the way he illuminates the canvas with flowing colours, sheer textures and glowing light.

Beauty & the Beast
These shots are by Oxford based photographer Andy Proper, who I've worked with a few times now. We did a short shoot a month ago in his new studio, and I loved these two images especially. In the first one, my eyes look a bit red and shadowy, probably because of squinting from the wind machine but I love the look - reminds me of Gollum from Lord of the Rings; very protective, little bad imp that stole the flower :)

Dartmoor
These images are from my trip to Devon in March, taken on beautiful Dartmoor National Park, by Imagesse. We shot at Gidleigh Stone Circle, which dates from the Bronze Age so is almost 4000 years old. The mist was very thick when we arrived early but we sat down to enjoy the peace and it lifted after a while. I loved the serenity there, and the mystery of the Ley Lines is so intriguing, a local tale says the dartmoor ponies all gather to enter the circle just before sunrise, as if soaking up the positive energy, which sounds so incredible to me it makes my hair stand on end! So when Perry had to nip back to the car to get another lens, I lay a while in the middle of the cirlce with my eyes closed, not sure what I was expecting to happen, maybe wake up levitating? (though in the third pic you see I am ;) ) Hopefully I soaked up some good energy, it was certainly a very inspiring and calming place to work and I love the images.
Afterwards we went to a lovely forest which was very beautiful, so many interesting twisted trees, and the floor, logs and branches covered in thick soft cushiony moss, which was so lush and green.
