Jewelled

I'm having a super busy time at the moment, as I'm in the middle of moving house and have loads of work on, so it's been a bit hectic. It's very exciting but has meant I haven't been able to update my sites as much as usual, so apologies for that. Hopefully it won't take long to get internet set up in my new place and be up and running again :-)
I was just saving a few more disks I found whilst having a clear out, and found these gorgeous images from a set I did last year with Dave Collier. I've worked loads with Dave, and have more images from our most recent shoot to show off too, but for now I'll add just these two, shot at Cheltenham Photos Studios. I thought it would be cool to take loads of my jewellery to layer over myself, I love the light Dave used to bring out the colours and textures - a classic nude with sparkle! I also adore the second shot, with my hair wrapped up in my golden silk fabric... with the vibrant yellow creating a slightly different, striking portrait, I just need a pearl earring!
Anyway folks, sorry this is short... I have loads of pictures, news and general musings to update here so I'll be back with you properly very soon :-)

Phoenix

Whilst snooping around RedBubble the other day I found loads of new pics of me, including this one by self taught digital artist Martin Muir, a digital manipulation from one of Jamie Cooper's photographs, originally a soft and gentle nude in a pretty bluebell wood. Woowwweee! What a transformation! I look like a possessed goddess in the fiery gates of hell, look at my eyes! Be afraid! Love it!!! Thank you Martin :-)

Artist's Muse

I was sent this finished piece recently by Kristian Mumford, a very talented painter based in Australia. We did the pose for this when I visited him in Adelaide last year, it's his take on Gustav Klimt's 'Danaë', created in 1907. From greek mythology, Danaë was often used as a symbol of divine love and transcendence, with depictions of her red hair and sensual expression conveying femininity and eroticism. The legend is that while imprisoned by her father, King of Argos, in a tower of bronze, Danaë was impregnated by Zeus, coming to her in the form of golden rain flowing between her legs, said to conceive Perseus, who grew up to slay the Gordon Medusa!

Kristian also did a painted version of MY photographic version of the painting of Leighton's Flaming June (get that?) It was actually framed on the wall in the room I stayed in when I was at his house - which was quite surreal, but amazing, having only seen it on his model mayhem page before. It's wonderful how art can be created and reborn in different ways. I've added some more of Kristian's work for you to see below and you can see his website for more pictures and information.

The Beautiful Madame Bink

She is my very dear friend and never ceases to impress me. Being an experienced top art nude model she sure knows how to pose and has the body of a goddess - smooth olive skin, gorgeous long flowing hair, stunning eyes and curves in all the right places. But she continually amazes me with how versatile she is in other genres too, and I just have to make a big fuss about her as I am so in love with some of her recent work!!

She recently moved to Wiltshire where I visited her the other week, and has a home studio and some beautiful locations around her house in the countryside, including quiet fields filled with long grasses, wild flowers and butterflies... very pretty! These pictures were taken by the talented Mr Adam Robertson, as you may know as a duo they make Team Binkerson; working together to produce stunning work, often collaborating with fellow models, make-up artists and stylists, and offering their combined skills with a range of 1-to-1 tuition packages, and group tuition days. You can see from these images just how well they work together, and how Bink can be super girlie, edgy and glamourous as well as gorgeously arty. Bloody love em'!

Evanescent

This one's by Keith Cooper, it's from our first shoot and it won a gold award in the SWPP July competition. I think it's beautiful. I love imagery like this and I love modelling for it, it's probably my favourite kind; elusive, disembodied, ego-less, interpretation is so personal, so transcendent; there is so much to see and so much to say, it doesn't think, end or begin, it hangs on the edge of your mind like the glimpse of a ghost from a dream and keeps on living like a moving, shimmering painting.

Studio Fun

So much cool stuff to catch up on! Firstly, I'll share some of the gorgeous results from my second shoot working with Pierus in Cambridge a few weeks ago... the weather wasn't quite right for going out on location so we spent extra time in the studio. Claude is cool to work with as he's so passionate about his work and helps give direction to make sure the light is falling beautifully, he knows the style he wants and won't just shoot anything, it makes me work hard to get extra creative and come up with new shapes and moods. This was a 3 hour shoot, the first half spent focussing on classic nudes and abstract bodyscapes - I love the second image; the curves remind me of a moonscape. Then followed by some fashion nudes and portraits - I love a bit of wind machine!!! :-)
