'Looking through our work from the last session, I have come to realise, maybe properly for the first time, what a magnificent collaborator you are (and I am not one to gush to people about their talents, esp. not before several glasses of wine). What I am trying to say is that you are not only a pretty face with red hair, white skin, freckles and a deadly weapon, you are an actor, a dancer, a try-anythinger, a hardworker and the best kind of professional - worth every penny. You're also a nice person and easy to get on with! You are the ideal person to collaborate with.'
~ Eric Kellerman
SO hard to pick one favourite. These are positively exquisite!
ReplyDeleteThank you Elizabeth :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Box Nudes set is truly amazing. Your form and pose in each are perfection. I am both inspired and in awe of these amazing shots!!!
ReplyDeleteI've always struggled, intellectually, with the model in a box concept. I guess it's the challenge of working while restricted in a confined space. The hope of creating art with limits placed on the model/photographer/artist. I can't get past the objectifying image of a woman in a box. But, otherwise, you look quite beautiful in these.
ReplyDeleteHi Holly - my favourite is the actual montage, very cool shoot
ReplyDeleteUrban Pope, I wonder what your struggle consists of. Why is the placing of a 3D physical frame round Holly a form of objectification? If Holly had been photographed by a 6x6 camera, would she have been less objectified? The box provides a means of self-expression and self-discovery. Holly remains Holly.
ReplyDeleteDear Holly...so Wonderfull.
ReplyDeleteKind Regards
Dear Holly, thanks for replying my email! The Box pictures are stunning, love them! Love your Site!
ReplyDeletegrtz,
xx Alexander
Objectification? I agree with Eric. There's no objectification here. The box isn't a metaphor for anything. The box gives the model 4 walls to support herself, so it makes for dynamic posing, and as a means of displaying musculature. Holly took full advantage of that here and the end result is absolutely stunning.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love these. Such a great idea and the 9 box collage is really great. The bleached cyanotone is also really lovely, with great light transitions.
ReplyDeleteI love the box montage! Something quite fluid and 'fishy' about them put altogether like that, and it's very well composed. This Eric chap's alright isn't he? ;-)
ReplyDelete(OK, reading that back, 'fishy' makes me sound a bit like a psycho, but I bet you know what I mean - it's the curves and the pale tones and your marble skin. Very nice!)
ReplyDeletesecond and ninth ones for me, they just flow beautifully. Great job again
ReplyDeleteFantastic and beautiful set of images :)
ReplyDeleteThe box nudes are absolutely incredible Holly, I love the poses. Beautiful work! I'm still wondering how on earth you managed to hold the pose in the tenth box image in this post!
ReplyDeleteStupendous!
